Job description
The GEODIS Global Freight Forwarding Line of Business is looking for an interim Human Resources Director for a 10-month-maternity cover from mid-June 2024 to mid-April 2025 approximatively.
The role will be responsible for leading the Human Resources function and collaborating with the business in ensuring the delivery of the HR activities across a global scope covering 22 countries (APAC, Europe and Americas) and 650 FTE's.
As a Senior HR Business leader, the Global Freight Forwarding HR will provide strategic HR support, insight and acumen to the senior Global Freight Forwarding leadership team, thus assisting in the delivery of company objectives.
The HR Director will work in a highly matrixed organization in close cooperation with central, regional and country HR teams. He/She will manage a team of 4 located in Levallois-Perret.
He/She will :
• Act as a strategic partner to the global Global Freight Forwarding leadership team : guide, mentor and challenge business senior leaders on all HR topics.
• Provide advice and support on complex international HR topics : top level recruitment, compensation and benefits, job grading, organisational issues, complex employee relations issues (disciplinaries, dismissals, tribunal cases, redundancy plans), industrial relations matters (French scope only), international mobility …
• Oversee the delivery of Group HR programmes : perfomance management, people and talent reviews, sucession planning, employee engagement survey, compliance programme…
• Be Responsible for the definition of line of business HR policies and processes : recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits, learning and development….
• Manage a team of 4 experienced HR professionals : 2 HRBP's, 1 HR data management and compensation specialist, one payroll and admin coordinator.
• Work closely with Group HR teams.
Applicant's profile
The ideal candidate will have :
• 15 years of HR Business Partner experience supporting multiple global locations and remote customers
• Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
• Full knowledge of the legal implications of the employment relationship
• Excellent interpersonal and communication
• Ability to convey ideas, convince people.
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to learn fast
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and utilize data to influence business decisions.
• Ability to say no when necessary
• Strong business acumen.
• French mother tongue and fluent English.
