Objective / Purpose of the Role
Working as part of the Gateway team, the Gateway Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient customer service to the business. They will be required to carry out all department activities in accordance with the industries best practice, ISO, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H & S. Must have knowledge and understanding of how logistics or other large service organisations operate, have excellent knowledge of import/export procedures as well as having excellent understanding of freight industry security processes and complete understanding of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations.

• Reporting to the Gateway Manager - Freight Forwarding
• Full time: Shift Pattern – As per contract
Key Activities / Accountabilities:
• Some previous experience of Consolidations and gateway functions an advantage
• Customs reports as required
• Co-ordinate vehicles to collect and deliver from the airline within a timely manor

• Maintain an integral, transparent and professional relationship with GFF supplier/customer base at all times.
• Responsible and Accountable to ensure company property is looked after and used correctly and safely at all times.
• Raise records in the ETSF and discharge T1's from overnight DDX deliveries
• Manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining a 100% level of accuracy, robustness, safety and security.
• Ensure accurate data capture and uploading of information into GFF in house operating system.
• Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved department procedures and deadlines.
• Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line manager
• Internal and external rates reviews.
• Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
• Ensure Best Practice models are adopted
• Customs reporting
• Follow strict and time sensitive SOP's/KPI's to ensure compliance
• Work closely with internal and external customers

• Use of Next Gen/MS office as requested
• Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required timeframe

Applicant's profile
Essential Technical Experience:
• Fully PC literate on excel, and word applications
• Experience of working within Consols an advantage
• Experience of Airline transport an advantage
• Experience of working with Freight Forwarding
• Experience of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations.
