Job description
Job Summary:
The Airfreight Operator is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of airfreight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
This role involves communication with clients, carriers, and other logistics teams to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage airfreight shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation for airfreight shipments, including airway bills, shipping manifests, and customs declarations.
• Communicate with clients to understand their shipping needs and provide updates on shipment status.
• Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Monitor and track shipments, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including customs and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and other relevant data.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to airfreight operations.
